Ideas are Easy. Implementation is Hard

No one ever said it was easy being entrepreneur whether you are in early stages of your start up or on a fully established business. I have had a privilege of watching an American television series “Shark tank.” I have no idea why they called it “shark” but one thing I know is, sharks are an apex predator at or near the top of their marine food chains. Shark tank is all about investor and aspiring entrepreneurs.

On a clean and an inner open eye, the show is not just a show. It is a mind provoking series that every business minded person should watch. Aspiring entrepreneur contestants make a business presentation to a panel of “shark” investor. This panel of investor often find weakness and fault in an entrepreneur seeking investment for their business or product. Vetting process include product testing, examination of the contestant personal and the business financials.

I strongly believe that if you have a good idea, you should pursue it no matter what. You might not have capital, don’t worry, and work with what you have at the moment, eventually things will work out. Chase the vision not the money, the money will end up following you. You should not focus on why you can’t do something, which is what most people do. You should focus on why perhaps you can and be one of the exceptions.

For all of the most important things, the timing always sucks. Waiting for a good time to start implementing the idea you have? The star will never align and the traffic lights of life will never all be green at the same time. The universe has not conspired against you, but it doesn’t go out of its way to line up the pins either. Conditions are never perfect. If it is important to you and you want to do it, eventually, just do it and correct course along the way.

Let me say this; the cost of Excellency is hard work, dedication to the job at hand and determination that whether you win or lose, you have applied the best of yourself to the task at hand.

Will you execute your dream or let it die?
